Class Schedule for July - Oct 2010

BEGINNING STAINED GLASS: In this program you will learn the basic copper foil technique. While making a sun catcher and a panel of your own, you will learn glass cutting, foiling, soldering and finishing. Tools and materials for the class are additional. Class is limited to 6. Fee is $135.00

BEGINNING STAINED GLASS - DAY CLASS: This class will run four consecutive days. You will learn the copper foil method while constructing your own panel. Patterns are pre-selected for this class. Class is limited to 4. Fee is $205.00 and includes all tools and materials.

CUTTING WORKSHOP: Review the basics of cutting. We will go over the principals of glass cutting and how to persuade the glass to break where you want it to. This is a hands-on workshop, so bring your cutting and breaking tools. Class is limited to 6. Fee is $50.00

SOLDERING WORKSHOP: Are you having problems with your solder lines? This is the class you have been waiting for. Discover how to get a smooth solder line and know when enough is enough. You will need to bring all your solder iron, stand, flux and solder. Please have glass strips foiled and ready to go. Bring your problem piece and we will show you how to make corrections. Class is limited to 6. Fee is $50.00

BEAD MAKING: If you ever wanted to try your hand at making your own glass beads, this is the class for you! This class will teach you how fun, safe and easy it is to make your own beautiful beads. No glass experience is necessary. Class is limited to 4. Fee is $75.00 and includes all tool and materials.

FLAT PANEL CLASS: Construct a flat-panel lamp or box of your own. Prairie style, six sided or eight sided, bring in the pattern you always wanted to do. Discover simple tricks that will make your project a breeze to construct. This class meets 3 times. Note: There is a break between the first and second-class this will allow you time to cut, foil and solder your panels. Class is limited to 6 students. Fee is $105.

Sept 7, 21 & 28

6:30pm - 9pm

STEPPING STONE: In 3 hours you will have a finished 8x8 stone suitable for your garden. Learn how to prepare and cast a mosaic mold. No previous glass experience is needed. Fee is $55.00 and includes everything needed to produce an 8 x 8 stone.

Noon - 3pm

FUSING: This class should answer most of your questions. You will get a basic overview of what fusing is, how it can be used and what you need to get started. Each student will construct there own pieces. All materials and tools are included. Class is limited to 6 students. Fee is $145.

Safety rules everyone must follow regardless of age when taking one of the above classes.

• No open-toed shoes
• No food or drink in the class area
• No running or throwing in the glass store
• Wash your hands when leaving the work table (some products contain lead)
• Long hair must be pulled back out of your eyes
• Whenever possible, wear long pants to protect your legs from burns and cuts
• Safety glasses should be worn at all times

*Classes will be canceled for low enrollment. All classes need at least 4 to go.

NEW REGISTRATION POLICY

A 50% deposit is required when signing up for a class. No space will be held without the deposit.

A refund less 15% processing fee will be refunded if you cancel your enrollment 14 days prior. No exceptions.

A full refund will be given if the class is cancelled.
